Colby, Waiting To Hunt
Artist Rosalind M. Mercier specializes in portraiture, whether human or animal. Her first career was as a makeup artist for films and TV in Los Angeles, Calif., followed by the BBC in London.
Mercier’s career as a painter follows in the footsteps of her great-grandfather, who was court painter to the King of the Belgians. Many of her equine commissions come from friends she’s made exercising horses with Rocky Fork Headley Hunt (Ohio). Mercier works in oil, pastel or pencil–and said she’d get a lot more accomplished if she weren’t always rescuing stray animals!
