Courageous Comet Leads On Thursday Morning At Rolex Kentucky

Apr 22, 2010 - 7:30 AM

Courageous Comet is known for his beautiful dressage, and he and Becky Holder didn’t disappoint their fans when they went into the lead in the Rolex Kentucky CCI**** on Thursday morning, April 22, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

The 14-year-old Thoroughbred gelding started his test a bit tense, but settled in and showed off fluid, elegant canter work for a score of 45.2.

Boyd Martin sits in second with Neville Bardos (51.8) ahead of Amy Tryon on Leyland (53.7), Bonnie Mosser on Merloch (54.5) and Phillip Dutton on Kheops du Quesnay (55.3).

The competition starts up again at 1 p.m. with Hawley Bennett-Awad on Gin & Juice, and Dutton will finish out the day on The Foreman, his second of four rides.
