I have recovered from my disease and am back in full action at True Prospect Farm! This past week was the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships, and that brings back a lot of good memories and bad as well.

I remember breaking down on the way to NAJYRC in 2007 and sending Kozmo off with a show jumper that pulled over to help. We got to the event and put in the best dressage test that Kozmo had done, but I then proceeded to get spun at the final jog when my team was winning, and I was sitting second individually. Then, last year was amazing, and all the ducks lined up for Cooper to step up to the plate. It was the one of my best riding memories, and I hope there are more to come.

I just want to say congratulations to the winners this year. It’s a true accomplishment, and I am so proud of California for producing a winning team and individual again. It takes so many people to put on NAJYRC, and my personal experiences—both good and bad—were some of the best in my life!

Phillip’s barn has been getting ready for Wits End and Fair Hill this week, and Phillip and Emma Ford went to Stonehall [where the U.S. Equestrian Federation training sessions were held] for a gallop and an assessment for the Burghley grants. Milo (Truluck) is in top form and ready for action.

Ryan Wood also had a bit of a mishap yesterday at the farm and got a good knock in the head, but, thanks to a helmet, he is just fine. Just makes you remember health is so important and being in good physical condition is more important than anything.

I am excited for Cooper to get back in action, and he has been jumping this week. I have a bit of ground to gain back, and I look forward to doing just that.
