Raisbeck purchased Fernando, a 2005 Zweibrucker gelding, from Melanie Pai of Canaan Ranch In Middleburg, Virginia, in 2011. Fernando was born in Germany and imported as a yearling. “Fernando is a very lovely horse and I am thrilled for Christy that she won The Horse of Course High Score. She and Fernando have been consistently earning scores in the 70th percentile and they will certainly be a pair to watch in the future,” said Beth Haist, CEO of The Horse of Course.

Raisbeck is no stranger to the winner’s circle, as she is a two-time USDF Freestyle Horse of the Year winner and has won several USDF All-Breed Awards, SWDC medals, GAIG USDF/USEF Championships as well as a team bronze medal at the 1989 US Olympic Festival. Her Freestyle Farm is a dressage teaching and training facility.

Haist said The Horse of Course loves meeting dressage riders as they travel across the country. “It’s such a delight to meet the High Score winners of the classes we sponsor. We also have a great time with all of the customers that stop by our mobile store at shows,” Haist said. The Horse of Course mobile store is a fixture at horse shows across the country and the premier dressage tack store is known for offering the best and latest in dressage fashion.

“We love dressing equestrians in the latest styles, so we invite you to visit our website or our mobile store to see all the exciting fashions we have to offer,” Haist said. “Our HV-Polo line from Germany offers stylish fun polo shirts, jackets and breeches with crested embroidery, and riders have really fallen in love with them. What makes this line even more fun is the matching coordinates for your horse including blankets, coolers and saddle pads.”

The Horse of Course offers top proven brands, innovative new products, complete customized saddle fitting and customized bit fitting. The Horse of Course also carries saddles, including the Sommer Flextra Eq and the new Sommer Spezial, the most advanced dressage saddles on the market. Haist’s husband, Marty Haist, is a saddler who attends the shows to assist customers with their saddle fitting needs.
