On Sept. 6, Tryon Equestrian Partners announced Christie’s International Real Estate as its title sponsor for the vaulting at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games, hosted at the Tryon International Equestrian Center Sept. 11-23. Christie’s International Real Estate is also partnering with Tryon Resort to introduce Tryon Village as the world’s ultimate equestrian lifestyle destination.

Vaulting is often described as gymnastics on horseback. Christie’s Vaulting for the Games, the vibrant, inspiring and artistic discipline combining elegance and athleticism with human-equine partnership and trust, will be hosted Sept. 18-22 in the indoor arena, an iconic new venue onsite at TIEC with seating for 5,000 spectators. Athletes from 18 countries have been named to the FEI nominated vaulting entries list, and the world’s best will go head-to-head in Tryon for the first time.

The schedule includes individual and squad compulsories on Tuesday, Sept.18, with Nations Cup team freestyle medals, individual and pas de deux freestyle competitions taking place on Wednesday, Sept. 19. Thursday, Sept. 20 features pas de deux freestyle medals competition, squad freestyle competition for non-Nations Cup teams and individual technical competition ahead of Saturday’s individual and squad medals competition to conclude the discipline on Sept. 22.
