The Chattahoochee Hills Organizing Committee has been hard at work preparing for the 2010 American Eventing Championships in September. This will be the first time Chattahoochee Hills, located in Fairburn, Ga., will host the event.

Staff has planted nearly 200 mature, temperate trees on the property. The trees were rescued from a nearby tree farm that is in the process of being developed. The trees will serve to provide shade during the hot Georgia summer. The CH team is also working on constructing permanent stalls and additional rings.

Chattahoochee Hills faced complications to their development last September when record amounts of rain destroyed more than 30 fences on the cross-country course.

These new additions will be sponsored. Anyone can make a $200 donation to have their name, their horse’s name, or their business name displayed on a plaque in the courtyard. Applications will be available when Chattahoochee Hills launches their brand new website on February 23. In the meantime, contact Melissa Syfert (chatthills@aol.com or 404-433-3057) for more information.
