Richboro, PA 2/14/2010 – The annual Saddle Up® for St. Jude event will be gearing up this year to be held on 4/24/2010 at 10am at Tyler State Park in Bucks County. The event will raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, the premier center for the research and treatment of childhood cancer and other deadly diseases.
“St. Jude is the leader in the fight against catastrophic childhood diseases such as leukemia, brain tumors and sickle cell disease,” said Dan Wasserstrom, coordinator of the event. “Through events like Saddle Up for St. Jude, Pennsylvania residents will be supporting the St. Jude mission of finding cures and saving children from across the country and around the world.”
The Saddle Up® for St. Jude event can be enjoyed in multiple ways, as a trail ride/hunter pace where you set your own pace and are competing with other teams for completing the course in the ideal preset time. The event also provides for a dog walk on a paved course through the park. Rider’s and walkers entry fees along with other fund raising efforts will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. Our mission is to help children and their families through financial hardship brought on by cancer or cancer treatment.

This volunteer-based horseback trail-pace/dog walk event will feature a guided trail course through the spectacular Tyler State Park beginning and ending at the Craft Guild off of route 332. Local merchants will support the event with items that will be raffled off. We are seeking corporate sponsorship to make the event a success. Everyone is urged to get involved in this worthy cause.
