Decked out in a navy jacket, purple button-down, red tie and matching pocket square, Canadian dressage rider David Marcus showed off his fashionable side as he took part in the CDI jog with his handsome equine partner Chrevi’s Capital during the Wellington Dressage Challenge II CDIW. Marcus’s picture-perfect fashion statement helped him take home the PanaCavallo Style Award at the show, sponsored by PanaCavallo, the makers of bridles and leather goods, in partnership with Cavalleria Toscana, an elegant line of Italian equestrian clothing.
“I think the jog is a reflection of how we run our business and it is also part of being professional,” Marcus said. “I think it’s important to pay attention to detail while riding and competing our horses, and the handler’s outfit during the jog is no exception.”
Michael Davis, owner of PanaCavallo, was on hand at the show to congratulate Marcus on his winning style. “The Style Award is all about riders who make a fashion statement while adhering to the age-old tradition of dressing their best while taking part in the jog,” Davis said. “Marcus looked great, as did his horse, and we were pleased to present him with the Style Award and one of our new chin pads, created with the horse’s comfort in mind. They are leather with high density foam that disperses the pressure off the chin.”

Dressage riders throughout Wellington have been raving about the chin pads from PanaCavallo. “We truly believe that the horse’s comfort is of the utmost importance and PanaCavallo is thrilled that so many riders like the new chin pads,” Davis said. “PanaCavallo also has a new line of bridles, sold through Trilogy Saddlery. They are available in four styles and offer superb quality and workmanship that enhances the comfort of the horse. An exciting fact about our new line of PanaCavallo bridles is that we offer custom fittings to ensure proper fit for the horse. This is an option not offered by any other bridle distributor in the United States. Each horse is measured and the different sizes and models are mixed to create a bridle that works best on that particular horse,” Davis said.
PanaCavallo has partnered with Cavalleria Toscana, a line of elegant and modern Italian equestrian apparel, to bring the ultimate in beauty, form and function to both horse and rider. Cavalleria Toscana’s selection of riding apparel is as functional as it is fashionable, featuring avant-garde fabrics combined with unique style and cut to make them excellent for riding. Apparel from Cavalleria Toscana can be found at the Parlanti tent at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, the home of the Winter Equestrian Festival.
