Canada Names World Games Dressage Team

The Dressage Canada Selection Panel has announced the names of the Canadian Dressage Team who will compete in the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France, Aug. 23-Sept. 7. Selected according to the qualification thresholds and selection procedures, four rider/horse combinations are named to the team.

Named to the team in alphabetical order are:

  • Megan Lane (Loretto, Ontario) on Caravella, a 13-year-old Canadian-bred Dutch Warmblood mare owned by the rider
  • David Marcus (Campbellville, Ontario) on Chrevi’s Capital, a 14-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding owned by Deborah Kinzinger Miculinic
  • Karen Pavicic (Surrey, British Columbia) on Don Daiquiri, a 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding owned by the rider and Jayne Essig
  • Belinda Trussell (Stouffville, Ontario) on Anton, a 14-year-old Sachsen gelding owned by Robyn Eames

In addition to selecting the Canadian Dressage Team members, the panel announced one rider/horse combination as alternate for the team.

  • Jacqueline Brooks (Cedar Valley, Ontario) on D Niro, a 14-year-old Swedish Warmblood gelding owned by Brookhaven Dressage Inc.
