A Busy Week At True Prospect Farm

Hello everyone!

This past week at True Prospect Farm has been an exciting one!

First of all, Jan Byyny was here to get ready for Millbrook Horse Trials with all of her horses. (I would like to steal all of them. So nice!)

She was jumping in the outdoor, and her horse got spooked by one of the workers. Jan’s horse slipped in the arena, and Jan really hurt her foot. She is seriously one tough person.

Jan was out in the arena teaching Lizzie (her assistant) on her horses the next day with crutches and everything.

Next, the week was crazy because Phillip, Emma Ford and Nate Chambers all went to Wits End Horse Trials in Mansfield, Ont., in my rig on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Ryan Wood and I went to Fair Hill Horse Trials in Maryland with nine horses this weekend as well.

Phillip did awesome and finished third on Woodburn and sixth on Truluck in the CIC***. It looks like he is all set for Burghley! Nate won the advanced, and Phillip and Nate were the only two people to make time in either advanced division.

Fair Hill went great, and Cooper won his first event back with Cambalda finishing right behind him in the intermediate! They both feel awesome and ready for Richland Park in a few weeks. A young sale horse of mine named Thalia won her first event on a 25, and another novice horse named Whiskey Road finished fifth and is ready for her big upcoming trip to the AECs.

Another good story for you before I go: A horse that I compete was being held before I got on him at Fair Hill. He was being silly and backed up into a Jaguar convertible…Yes that’s right a Jaguar. You’ve got to love horses right?!

A big thank you to everyone for their help this weekend! All the girls at the barn, Amy King, Caitlin Silliman, Sarah Murphy, and the people who own the awesome horses I ride!

I have included some pics of the Dutton twins washing my truck when I got home (I live in an apartment above the Dutton garage) Monday night. Mary and Liv are the cutest.

Talk to you all soon,

Jennie
