Ashmore Equestrian Center, Inc., a premier equine facility located in Apopka, FL, is proud to announce the esteemed appointment and certification by the British Horse Society (BHS) as an approved livery and riding/training establishment facility as of 12/12/09. Ashmore owners, Hilda Donahue (international CCI**** competitor) and Andre Merlet have one of the select few BHS approved riding and training facilities in North America, and the only approved facility in Florida.

The aim of the BHS approval is to ensure that the standard of care and facilities provided is of an acceptable level and to enable improved disease surveillance for the horses on property. This approval scheme raises welfare standards for horses at approved facilities and offers reassurance to the first time horse owner that their animal is in the care of experienced, knowledgeable persons with premier facilities. The approval as a riding facility ensures all riders of the top quality instruction offered through experienced instructors who practice a high standard of safety and care not only for the student but also for their equine partner.
