This is Mrs. Small, a 8-hand, 14-year-old mini. “She is nanny to my two young Haflinger ponies,” said Petra Ingram of Salisbury, England. “She dressed up to go trick or treating with the children next door—she was the star of the evening!” Mrs. Small has her own Facebook page (@MiniFatPony) and volunteers as a fundraiser for The Brooke animal charity.

Photographer Jennifer Wile Rubin snapped her son Jack (left) and daughter Lainie (right) with her horse Bowen as Day Of The Dead characters. “We love Halloween in our family and do our best to include the horses in the fun!” Rubin said.

Every year, Laura Sides Boger of Wilmington, N.C., dresses up as the headless horseman and heads out at dawn to chase the elementary school bus down the road.

Auburn Burt and her OTTB Diva from Thurmont, Md.

Ali Wolfe Mills (right) and her daughter Augusta dressed up as the viral sensation April the giraffe and her baby giraffe for a costume class at the Aiken Horse Show In The Woods.
