Wellington, FL (November 2, 2011) – Adult Amateur riders earning the highest score of the show during the 2011/2012 dressage season will not only ride away with the top honor, but will also win the Everglades Dressage Adult Amateur Award. Sponsored by accomplished dressage rider and trainer Bethany Peslar, who operates a training and competition facility at her Everglades Dressage Farm in Wellington, the Adult Amateur winner will receive a beautiful embroidered saddle pad and a certificate for a free training session with Peslar at her Everglades Farm.

Peslar specializes in teaching and training riders at all levels in addition to training and competing her own horses.  She is also a strong supporter of the equestrian community. “I sponsored the same award last year and had a great time meeting the winners. The Adult Amateurs are the backbone of our sport and I love recognizing them,” Peslar said. “I had a great experience with each winner who came to my farm for a free training session and I look forward to meeting many more Adult Amateurs this year.”

Everglades Dressage is a premier equestrian facility located in the exclusive Grand Prix Village of Wellington. “I believe that when awards are sponsored in the Adult Amateur divisions it really gives the riders more to strive for and a nice chance for recognition,” Peslar said, adding that the shows in the Gold Coast Dressage Association circuit and Wellington Classic Dressage Association circuit are held at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center. “The shows, which are USEF/USDF recognized, are highly competitive, well respected and attract top competitors from around the world.”

In addition to teaching private lessons, Peslar is a highly sought after clinician. “I love teaching clinics because I enjoy spending several days with the same people and getting the chance to really watch them progress. Plus, there is a bonding that takes place within the group and its great to make new, lasting friendships,” Peslar said.

Peslar is a strong supporter of equestrian programs in the United States and earlier this year Peslar, and her mother Rose, were honored at a reception for being Gold Medal Club (GMC) members of the United States Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation. Peslar is a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist, 2006 Reserve Champion in the National Young Adult Grand Prix Championship “Brentina Cup” at Gladstone, and is a successful USEF High Performance Grand Prix competitor. Peslar’s impressive list of accomplishments also includes earning her USDF Gold Medal in 2003 at age 21.
