Another Lawsuit For DSU Over Dropping Equestrian Team

Delaware State University is facing a second lawsuit over dropping the Equestrian Team according to WMDT.com. In the suit, 15 members of the team claim that the school’s decision violates Title IX.

The team filed the suit in late February at the U.S. District Court of Delaware. This week they requested a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction to prevent DSU from any attempt to eliminate the program before the court hearing.

This suit follows a separate suit filed by DSU recruit, Melia Blakely. Blakely’s lawyer has also filed a preliminary injunction to stop the school from dropping the team.
