American rider Allison Springer turned in a dressage test that earned her and Arthur a score of 41.1, putting them into a tie for third after dressage at the HSBC FEI World Cup Eventing Final in Deauville, France on Sept. 19-21.
Clayton Fredericks leads the competition on Ben Along Time with a score of 36.1, more than 4 points ahead of his wife, Lucinda Fredericks, who is in second on Headley Britannia with a 40.2. Springer, who was a last-minute entry to the Final after the Blenheim CCI (England) was rained out and canceled on Sept. 13, is tied with Pippa Funnel on Ensign for third.

Fellow American Clark Montgomery lies 24th on Up Spirit with a 54.6, while Stephen Bradley, whose plans to compete at the Burghley CCI**** (England) on Sept. 3-7 were waylaid when Brandenburg’s Joshua suffered an abscess and didn’t pass the first horse inspection, is in 34th with a 63.3.
