All in a Day’s Work: Custom Saddlery and Dover Saddlery Talk Saddle Fit

Aiken, SC (August 26, 2013) – On Wednesday, August 7, Dover retail managers from across the United States came together for a clinic on the benefits and attributes of good saddle fit and an introduction to the latest in saddle innovation from the experts behind Dover's top-selling line of English performance saddles, Custom Saddlery. Providing personalized expertise and leading its discussions on saddle making and design were Custom Saddlery fitting experts Andrea Palumbo and Cary Wallace, CEO of Custom Saddlery.

Aiken, SC (August 26, 2013) – On Wednesday, August 7, Dover retail managers from across the United States came together for a clinic on the benefits and attributes of good saddle fit and an introduction to the latest in saddle innovation from the experts behind Dover’s top-selling line of English performance saddles, Custom Saddlery. Providing personalized expertise and leading its discussions on saddle making and design were Custom Saddlery fitting experts Andrea Palumbo and Cary Wallace, CEO of Custom Saddlery.

CEO of Dover, Steven Day and Dover Tack Buyer, Patricia Nesto attended the clinic, which was designed to promote Dover’s over all goal of better serving the equestrian community.  Custom’s expert saddle fitters spoke on the importance of correct saddle fit, and elaborated on the completely customized fit and design options offered by Custom.  Due to the success of the Custom clinic, Dover Saddlery plans to repeat this type of event to further train and educate their employees and so better serve their customers.

The Dover managers were able to preview updates to the Signature series: the Steffen’s Advantage and Steffen Single or Mono Flap, both featuring a new internal anatomical knee roll designed more precisely to the shape of the leg.  Other fresh new “upscale” accents offered include buffalo hide piping with the popular worked-in feeling to its leather but now in more colorful choices.

“We’ve been enjoying working with Dover for many, many years,” said Wallace. “This was a great chance to work with them to expand our offerings, introduce the increase in our product range, and emphasize the benefits and attributes of these top-selling saddles.”
