Pre-show routine: “I have to be really relaxed so I don’t get myself too worked up about anything. I have to keep myself chilled.”
Good luck charm: “Whatever I did that last time I won, I’ll have to do again. If I had Wheaties before I won, I’d have to do it again. I have a lucky show coat that I save for special occasions.”
Most embarrassing moment: “One year at [the Pennsylvania National Horse Show], I was jogging my medium pony Enchanted Forest in first, and I had really big spurs on. I fell right on my face.”
Hardest lesson: “Definitely one of my flat lessons from Kristy. She has a reputation for being even harder than Missy. She’ll have us drop our stirrups for an hour.”
Fun Fact: “I just started riding on the NCAA equestrian team at University of South Carolina. They have us working out like a normal sports team in addition to our lessons, which is pretty great.”
