With more than 600 entries vying for 91 gallery spaces, this year’s American Academy of Equine Art Fall Open Juried Exhibition and Sale will showcase some of the best equine art in the world.
Held at the International Museum of the Horse at the Kentucky Horse Park, Lexington, Ky., the show opens with an artists’ reception on Sept. 25 with the official public opening the following day from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The show ends Nov. 8.
AAEA administrative manager Frances Clay Conner noted that artists from as far away as New Zealand entered artwork. “As a result, the quality of this year’s show is particularly outstanding, with a varied and interesting mix of styles and techniques,” she said.
