The 2021 Aachen CHIO (Germany), originally planned for the end of June, will take place Sept. 10-19. The event was canceled last year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Everyone is extremely looking forward to the CHIO Aachen 2021, whereby health and safety are of course priority number one,” said Frank Kemperman, Chairman of the Managing Board of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V., organizers of the event. He also noted the new event has already been approved by the Fédération Equestre Internationale.
“The CHIO Aachen 2021 is going to be a top show, just like we are accustomed to with all five disciplines and the best horses and riders,” said Kemperman.

Kemperman said the amount of spectators that will be allowed in September is still unknown, but he hopes to know by June, when this year’s tickets go on sale.
Tickets already purchased for the 2021 Aachen CHIO can be exchanged for tickets for the 2022 Aachen CHIO. Those who don’t want to have their tickets transferred to 2022 can have their money reimbursed or donate the sum. Find more information at www.chioaachen.de/en/tickets.
