The dates for the fourth annual 2012-2013 OCALA HORSE PROPERTIES INTERNATIONAL EVENTS at the Florida Horse Park are set for November 17, 2012, January 12-13, February 8-10, and April 11-14, 2013.
November is a one day start up competition to get people ready for the season; January is over 2 days. February is when the bulk of the northerners are down for training in Ocala plus some competitors arrive especially for the event. April is an International competition and has global attention; riders earn points towards world standings with the Prestigious CCI one and two star FEI competitions. Peter Gray and Jon Holling’s Equiventures LLC, along with their title sponsor Ocala Horse Properties, proudly hosts the fourth annual series of events.
“With the full range of professionals involved with these events the stage is set for collaborating with the Equestrian Department at the College of Central Florida,” Peter Gray said; “Teaming with CF is another form of organizations working together to provide a learning environment and to improve the business climate, economic vitality and the quality of life in our community.
“Let’s look at possibilities: evaluate needs and responsibly plan for on location educational betterment,” said Dr. Judy Downer, Associate Professor, faculty/program facilitator for CF Equine Studies and dressage judge for last season events. “We can accomplish collectively what we could not do individually,” she said.

The 2011-2012 season of international Eventing boasted hundreds of entries with horses performing in Dressage, running Cross Country and Show Jumping. “Entries for last season were up 20% from the prior season!” Peter Gray, event organizer said.
Jay Hambly from Canada, Florida’s Horse Park senior status FEI course designer/builder has a beautifully built and exciting to watch/ride cross country course for all of Florida and the region to enjoy. Marc Donovan from South Carolina, FEI course designer/builder will create the show jumping tracks.
The Becky Broussard $10,000 CCI** and the Maui Jim $4,000 CCI* will be offered at our April competition and the Meredyth South FEH and YEH breeding classes sponsored by Ms. Jacqueline Mars will be offered for the second year.
