F.C. Fantasy, known fondly around the farm as “Fanny,” was an Anglo-Hanoverian foaled on the property out of Dave’s Result, a mare that Mason bought for $300, and sired by Flugzauber.

Fantasy and Mason had a strong and unique bond that yielded an extremely successful career. They started by winning the Region 1 Championships and Col. Bengt Lundquist Memorial Championship in 1993 at first and second level freestyle. As a 4-year-old, Fantasy earned the highest score at that level in the championship’s history. Later that year, Fantasy won the prestigious U.S. Dressage Federation Horse of the Year award at first level.

Moving up the levels, Fantasy was the 1994 fourth level champion at Dressage At Devon (Pa.) and was on the gold-medal winning team twice for the Can Am Challenge.

In 2002, Fantasy won the BLM championships at Intermediaire II, Grand Prix and Grand Prix freestyle. Her success continued in 2004 with first place USDF All-Breeds at Grand Prix and Grand Prix freestyle for both the American Warmblood Society and the Purebred Hanoverian Society. She also won the Region 1 Championships at Grand Prix freestyle.

Aside from Fantasy’s accomplishments in the competition arena, she was also an exceptional mother. Notable offspring include Eskapade, who is currently competing in the hunters, Integrity, who is preparing to compete in the Grand Prix, and the yearling Fantom.
