Welles rode Armani, a 10-year-old Selle Francais gelding owned by Bill Kimmel, Sandy Yeager, Kimmel-Yeager Equine LLC, and Triton Ventures. In July, Welles and Armani won the King George V Cup at Hickstead (England).
