Anne Gribbons Named U.S. Dressage Chef D’Equipe

Anne Gribbons, an FEI licensed O-level judge, confirmed today that she's been invited to become the new chef d’equipe for U.S. Dressage. Robert Dover, one of the applicants for the position, announced the news on his website Dover's World on Tuesday, Aug. 11.

“Please know that I wish nothing but the best for Anne as well as our teams, and that I will always be the proudest supporter of our dressage teams,” wrote Dover.

Anne Gribbons, an FEI licensed O-level judge, confirmed today that she’s been invited to become the new chef d’equipe for U.S. Dressage. Robert Dover, one of the applicants for the position, announced the news on his website Dover’s World on Tuesday, Aug. 11.

“Please know that I wish nothing but the best for Anne as well as our teams, and that I will always be the proudest supporter of our dressage teams,” wrote Dover.

Gribbons, Chuluota, Fla., was selected after a long application process that included a final interview in Denver, Colo. Chester Weber, a leader in the driving community, George Morris, the show jumping chef d’equipe, and Mark Phillips, the eventing chef d’equipe, led the search.

Gribbons, originally from Sweden, has been an active member of the U.S. dressage community since 1972. She has trained and shown many horses to Grand Prix and represented the United States at the World Championships in 1985 and the Pan American Games in 1995, where she was part of the silver-medal winning team on Metallic.

The Chronicle of the Horse named Gribbons the “Dressage Horseman of the Year” for 2005 and she has been a regular contributer to the magazine’s “Between Rounds” since 1995.
