Severe thunderstorms Thursday night after the $100,000 Grand Prix of Devon soaked the Dixon Oval at the Devon Horse Show (Pa.). By the 7:30 a.m. start time on Friday, May 29, the footing was still deep and very wet. Show management postponed the start of classes multiple times, then mid-morning announced that the amateur-owner jumper class due to start first thing in the morning would run in the afternoon, and that the amateur-owner hunter classes would wait to begin on Saturday, May 30 and run over into Sunday, May 31, after the scheduled end of the show.
The sun shone brightly on Saturday, May 30, and the hunters got back in action.

Ellen Toon won both over fences classes in the amateur-owner, 36 & over division, with Chris Brown on Carpaccio and Staci Arani on Bolero each picking up a second place. Shaw Johnson Price won the under saddle on Costello.
In the amateur-owner hunter, 18-35 division, Krista Weisman won the first over-fences class on Chopard and the under saddle on Music Street. Tracy Scheriff and Lavari took a second and a win in the over fences.
