EDWARD LYNN FIEGER

Edward Lynn “Ted” Fieger, an accomplished horseman, died Dec. 14 after an eight-year battle against cancer. He was 56.

Mr. Fieger was born in the Midwest but spent most of his life on the West Coast. His family moved to Santa Barbara, Calif., where he lived for many years before he eventually settled in the San Francisco area.

Edward Lynn “Ted” Fieger, an accomplished horseman, died Dec. 14 after an eight-year battle against cancer. He was 56.

Mr. Fieger was born in the Midwest but spent most of his life on the West Coast. His family moved to Santa Barbara, Calif., where he lived for many years before he eventually settled in the San Francisco area.

He spent most of his life in the equestrian field and wore many different hats in his profession including judge, manager and exhibitor. Some of his many accomplishments include being named USEF Zone 10 Equestrian of the Year in 2005 and being part of a management team that organized events such as the U.S. Olympic Show Jumping Trials and the FEI World Cup Finals.

Mr. Fieger is survived by his wife Diane Fieger, daughter Erica, his mother Georgia Fieger, a sister, nephew and niece.
