Dutch dressage stallion One Million is coming to the United States to be ridden by Olympian Adrienne Lyle after being purchased by Heidi Humphries’ Zen Elite Equestrian Center.

“I don’t think there are enough words to describe how excited I am about this incredible young stallion,” Lyle wrote Sunday in a social media post. “It was love at first ride when I got the chance to meet him this spring. His elasticity, suppleness, power and super willing character instantly captured my heart. It is such an honor and a dream to have the chance to develop such a talented young horse.”

The 6-year-old Dutch Warmblood (Vivaldi—Joyrider, Apache) was a finalist in last year’s Longines FEI/WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships for 5-year-olds, where he finished 10th with a score of 84.6%. He also earned reserve champion in the KWPN Stallion Competition under his Dutch rider, Robin Heiden. The stallion was bred by J.M. van Uytert and M.H.J. Gotink and developed under Heiden at Hengstenstation van Uytert in the Netherlands.

Zen Elite announced the stallion’s purchase on social media Friday, March 30.

“This talented 6-year-old KWPN stallion will begin his next chapter under the exceptional guidance of Adrienne Lyle — and we couldn’t be more excited about what lies ahead,” they wrote. “One Million also marks an important addition to our lineup of breeding stallions, and we’re proud to offer U.S. breeders access to this outstanding pedigree right here at home.

“Here’s to the journey. This is just the beginning.”
