Morgan Barbançon scored another win Saturday with Habana Libre A, her second victory of the week at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, this time in the MTICA Farm Grand Prix Special CDI3* on a mark of 71.66%.
“He was almost too cool in there today. In those piaffes I could have kicked him maybe a bit more and woke him up,” the French rider said of her 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood (Zizi Top—Daiquiri A, United). “He was really like ‘peace and love’ in there today. I think next time I can push a notch more, but I’m much happier with today’s ride than [Friday’s Grand Prix for the special]. Even though there were more small mistakes today, there was nothing major . . . and he was nicer to ride, he was more through.”
