Friday Night Lights at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival is one of the most exciting things for a dressage enthusiast, and even casual fans have a good time with the thrill of the freestyle. During the CDI5*, attendees enjoyed something extra with the Grand Prix Special as the evening’s opening act. Christoph Koschel has found a bright young talent in Ballentines 10, who was third in his first-ever freestyle.

J.J. Tate got the freestyle started with Faberge.
Halt and salute! Yvonne Losos De Muniz and Foco Loco W were fifth in the freestyle on a 73.19 percent.
Degas 12 showed off beautiful extensions with Jill Irving on his way to fourth in the freestyle.
Alcazar was all business in the freestyle with Katherine Bateson Chandler.

Relief! It’s been a long time since Katherine Bateson Chandler did a freestyle with Alcazar, and she was thrilled with his performance that earned him second.
Salvino once again showed his quality as he topped the Special with Adrienne Lyle.

Devon Kane’s Sir Galanto shined brightly in Special. They were fifth.
Royal Dancer 33 was feeling the crowd during the Special and was fourth with Michael Klimke.
Shelley Francis took second in the Special with Danilo.
