Washington, D.C.—Oct. 29
The Washington International Horse Show celebrated its 60th anniversary this year, bringing crowds to the Capital One Arena, Oct. 23-28, to watch some of the best hunters and jumpers compete.
Performances such as Beezie Madden winning the$135,000 Longines FEI World Cup qualifier and Elli Yeager taking home the Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund WIHS Equitation Finals title, enchanted spectators, but the show’s unique home on the corner of 6th Street and F Street means there’s plenty to see beyond the stands. Here’s a look behind the scenes at the 2018 WIHS.
