Valentina Truppa, Italy’s top-ranked dressage rider, is hospitalized after sustaining serious but not life-threatening injuries at the Arezzo CDI in Italy.
Truppa was competing a 7-year-old horse in a national Intermediaire I class on June 7 when the horse spooked and reared, falling on top of her. Truppa was wearing a helmet, but she still lost consciousness.
