Tulsa, OK – April 2, 2014 –  The Midwest will be welcoming the legendary horseman and coach George Morris this month as he travels to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Morris is conducting a clinic at KJM Farm, organized by Lindsey Lamb. Morris will be teaching at the venue April 11-13, 2014 to instill the foundations of good horsemanship in the riders and auditors.

After retiring as Chef d’Equipe of the United States Show Jumping Team, Morris has set his sights on developing the future of the sport by conducting clinics around the world. Focusing on helping riders develop correct form and function, Morris has often been referred to as the founding father of hunt seat equitation. Second to none, his teachings, technique and style are revered around the world. Over the course of his career, Morris has been highly successful as a rider, coach, clinician, author and judge.

“I am looking forward to him coming because it’s George Morris!” laughed Lamb. “We’re just interested in improving the quality of riders we have here in the state of Oklahoma. We don’t always get a lot of big name clinicians in the area. We are just looking for good, basic, classical horsemanship.”

While most of the spots to participate as a rider in the clinic filled up immediately, there are still openings in the advanced jumper group. Auditor positions are also still available to gain knowledge from the esteemed Morris through observation. A waiting list is also available for riders should other openings become available. Auditor spots available for are $75 per day, or $200 for all three days.

The daily clinic schedule will begin with the first group of intermediate riders will be at 9:00 a.m., followed by advanced riders at 11:00 a.m. The final group of jumper riders will commence at 2:00 p.m.
