Eventers from the east and west coasts traveled to Kalispell, Mont., for The Event At Rebecca Farm. Katy Groesbeck galloped into first and second after cross-country, but rails and time penalties for her in the show jumping gave the win to Kristi Nunnink on R-Star. Read all about it.

Kent Farrington notched a big win for the U.S. in Spain, claiming the Grand Prix Telefonica on Voyeur at the La Coruña CSI****. (see results) Farrington was the fastest of a quality 12-horse jump-off. His fellow U.S. rider Lucy Davis came in third on Barron. Earlier in the week, Lauren Hough had ridden Ohlala to the top of the Warsteiner Prize speed class.

McLain Ward rode to his second consecutive Sunday grand prix win at the HITS Saugerties (N.Y.) venue, guiding Zander to the top of the $75,000 AIG Grand Prix. On July 22-23, Samantha Sommers made a big splash in Del Mar, Calif., in the U.S. Equestrian Federation West Coast Junior Hunter Finals. She rode Small Affair to the grand and large junior, 16-17 tricolors, as well as taking the reserve grand and small junior, 16-17 titles with Illusion. (see results) In the Showpark Racing Festival that finished the week in Del Mar, Nick Haness topped the $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby with Winfield, while David Vainer won the $30,000Racing Festival Grand Prix. In Oregon, Kendall Bourgeois rode Princeton to the blue in the $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby while Megan Jordan claimed the top check in the $25,000 Sherri Allis Memorial Grand Prix on Atlantis. Bourgeois was seventh in that class on Figlioli. (see results)
In Kentucky, Shane Sweetnam rode a new horse, Fineman, to the top of the $50,000 Rood & Riddle Grand Prix, while Pablo Barrios took the top check in the $25,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic on Zara Leandra. (see results)
