Take your riding to the next level and join Olympic Silver Medalist Peter Leone as his student for this season’s Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL. Ride with one of our country’s most respected coaches and experience the finest care for your horses in a top class show barn with all the amenities. You will train with Leone and his team with use of a private, on-site training ring with excellent footing. You and your horse will enjoy front row stabling, facing the show rings.

Not only are you guaranteed to learn and grow as a rider under the tutelage of the Lionshare Farm team, you and your horse will benefit from Leone’s systematic approach and reach your competitive goals. If you are shopping for a new horse, Leone has a successful, proven track record of appropriately pairing horses and riders. Leone and Lionshare will be training and showing January through March in Wellington.

“Peter’s coaching style is, in a word, insightful.  He has such great expertise in how to develop a horse and develop a rider, and then brings so much insight into the partnership and how they need to work together,” said long-time client and amateur jumper rider, Alison Finger. “Each horse that I’ve had with Peter I know is developed to his or her full potential. Additionally, Peter is fantastic at working with the limitations I bring into the mix- when my work schedule doesn’t allow me time to ride, etc. He always makes any time I do have productive and fun. I’ve ridden with him for quite a while now, and each year I learn more and more.”

Jeanne Hobbs, a professional trainer with her own facility based in Southern Pines, NC, is coached by Leone. Hobbs, who was member of the 2008 USEF Developing Riders Nations Cup Tour, describes Leone in one word: methodical. She says when the Leone analyzes a course, his riding plan is calculated and precise and everything has a reason.

“He walks a course and no stone is ever left unturned,” she says. “He may walk the course three or four times and walks every option,” said Hobbs. “He lets you find your style but he is there to help and guide you. He is very serious when he needs to be but he loves to joke and have fun while coaching. That really helps to put me in a good mental place to compete.”

As a member of the Lionshare Farm family you’ll experience a warm nurturing environment, conducive to learning to give you the confidence to go into the ring and perform at your very best.

“I’ve been with Peter since 2005, said Matti Fisher, an amateur who shows in the jumpers, hunters and equitation. “It’s been pretty amazing. I’m really happy with my program. There’s a great deal of individualized attention and there’s no drama, which is really refreshing.”

Paige Rassas-Sorce has experienced Leone’s gifted coaching style first-hand. He began coaching the professional trainer after helping her find a horse to compete in Grand Prix two years ago.

“Peter is very good at mapping out a program for each particular horse and each particular rider,” said Rassas-Sorce. “He is super organized and a great communicator. He’s very positive and professional and you feel extra confident and more competitive when you have his help.”

The Lionshare Farm Team is a top-notch group of professionals. Peter’s assistant, Elizabeth Pandich, is one of our country’s rising star trainers, coaching pony and junior riders to championships at our largest and most significant shows. Also a top rider, Pandich brings her riding experience and gift for teaching to the Lionshare training team.

“Lionshare Farms is very much like a family,” said Pandich. “We’re open about everything- everyone cares about every rider and every horse. We’re always working together to achieve the same goals, as we all share the same principals.”

Pandich not only has coached Lionshare clients to impressive wins at all the major horse shows in the Northeast and Wellington in the hunters and equitation, she has regularly lead the Lionshare Farm pony clients to success at major indoor and outdoor competitions.

“Elizabeth Pandich has given me some of the best lessons I’ve had- basically in my whole life,” said Parker Wright, a top, young pony rider who took rode Lionshare Farm’s Anisette to the Reserve Championship at US Pony Finals.
