On Aug. 30, the U.S. Equestrian Federation released the list of riders for the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team for the Pan American Games.

The following horse/rider combinations have been named to represent the United States in Guadalajara, Mexico, Oct. 14-30:

• Hannah Sue Burnett, The Plains, Va., and Jacqueline Mars’ Harbour Pilot, an 8-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding
• Buck Davidson, Ocala, Fla., and Sharon Will’s Absolute Liberty, an 8-year-old Thoroughbred-Oldenburg mare
• Jonathan Holling, Ocala, Fla., and Constance Holling’s Downtown Harrison, a 7-year-old Trakehner-Thoroughbred gelding
• Shannon Lilley, Gilroy, Calif., and The Lilley Group’s Ballingowan Pizzaz, a 9-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding
• Michael Pollard, Dalton, Ga., and Nathalie Pollard’s Schoensgreen Hanni, an 8-year-old German Sport Horse mare

The following horse/rider combinations have been named as replacements:

• Boyd Martin, Cochranville, Pa., and Dana Diemer’s Cold Harbor, an 11-year-old Canadian Sport Horse
• Kristin Schmolze, Califon, N.J. and her own, Bill and Janet Schmolze’s Ballylaffin Bracken, an 11-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding
• Tamra Smith, Murietta, Calif., and Leigh Mesher’s Mar de Amor, an 11-year-old Selle Francais gelding
• Lynn Symansky, Middleburg, Va., and her own Donner, an 8-year-old Thoroughbred gelding
• Jolie Wentworth, Martinez, Calif, and Tracey Bowman’s Good Knight, a 9-year-old Canadian Sport Horse

Held at the CCI**, five horses will compete for both team and individual classification, with the best three scores to count for the team score.

These riders will have mandatory training at the Morven Park Horse Trials, Sept. 30-Oct. 2 in Leesburg, Va. They will then go to training camp with Chef d’Equipe Capt. Mark Phillips beginning Oct. 10 at Meredyth South in Ocala, Fla. Training camp will last five days, and then the horses will travel to Mexico.
