We asked amateur hunter rider Lisa Arena, who trains with Amanda Steege, to document some behind-the-scenes footage from the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair (Pa.). Arena, Fairport, N.Y., will be showing later in the week in the amateur-owner divisions.
Steege, Far Hills, N.J., rode several horses in the first year green hunter division this year at Devon. The video follows her and the crew from Ashmeadow Farm on Wednesday, June 1, as they prepare the horses for the $2500 first year green hunter stake.
Steege placed fifth in the stakes class with Arena’s Balou and was also seventh with Randi Vladimer’s Duval.
