If you wanted to win today’s $100,000 Land Rover Wellington Eventing Showcase, you had to be fast and take chances, and Boyd Martin is the master of that strategy.

A two-time winner of the showcase, Martin was confident of his chances coming into the event with Welcome Shadow, whose last event was the twisty, turny four-star track at Pau in France last fall.

Marilyn Little was breathless as she sat down to the press conference for the $100,000 Land Rover Wellington Eventing Showcase this afternoon. Between riding RF Demeter and RF Scandalous in the showcase at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival grounds, a jumper at the Palm Beach Masters CSI-W at nearby Deeridge Farm, and another jumper across the street at the Winter Equestrian Festival grounds, she had a lot on her plate.

It’s back! The $100,000 Land Rover Wellington Eventing Showcase­ gets underway at 7:30 a.m., on Friday, Feb. 3. Here’s what you need to know:

Equestrian Sport Productions, management company of the world-renowned Winter Equestrian Festival and Adequan® Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Fla., is excited to announce a brand new eventing showcase that will take place at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center on Jan. 30-31, 2015. The $50,000 Wellington Eventing Showcase, presented by Asheville Regional Airport, will feature some of eventing’s top horses and riders.
