The reins also appear to be attached to the noseband. What a lovely tricolor bridle, too

haha1 I saw one of those once and almost bought it.

It also featured what was supposed to be a bare chested indian brave type, on a western saddle (horn) with english stirrups. And a dressage bridle.

It was pretty fabulous.

He also looks like he's thinking of anything but her.

They had a similar mix-up on a cover years ago

He's riding his horse in western clothing, English saddle and Western bridle.
She's riding in breeches and cowboy boots, Saddleseat bridle (complete with 3 gaited ribbon braid) and a Western saddle

Can't say those people/horses are discipline bound

Faith, I wind up with some mix-and-match sometimes, too! Last weekend, I rode with an AP english saddle, western breastcollar, western bridle (with a snaffle), and English breeches and paddock boots. http://www.flickr.com/photos/82782698@N00/3734063602

welllllll, when I go to my friend's ranch to ride I do trade my normal reins for split reins, and wear my silly English full seat johds, english saddle and bridle - easier for leading over tricky terain etc. Laugh they may, but I keep my end up I'm pleased to say. Does that count?

The best (or worst) I've seen actually caused me to email an editor and get a stock reply about how important attention to detail is, or some blather like that.
The picture? Western, saddle, NO GIRTH, reins magically attached to a halter.
Sigh.

This is one of my favorite cover art whoopsies...

Apparently bridles are for losers, but reins are still important. Among other things.

There's a computer or Nintendo game called "Horsez" that I picked up one day at the store. The art on the back almost made me pee myself:

http://www.girlshorseclub.com/wordpr...ges/horsez.gif

Either the girl's a dwarf or the foal is a very dainty Shire. Also, love the ginormous bow and the PINK BARREL SADDLE ON BACKWARDS. On a FOAL.

Some other "fail" screenshot samples:

Pad on backwards:

For GM's critiquing pleasure... Who needs stirrups, or a browband for that matter:

Do you think the graphic designers made them funny on purpose? Just to see if anyone was paying attention?

My Son just switched his major from film to level design - I will have to show those to him - he will flip!

I just put this on my Facebook page. It is too awesome not to.

My comment was "Go piaffe, passage, collect, and extend all around them cattle." Yee haw!
