Well, we wrote JustBorn and asked them to support the resident Peep 'Ho...if they come on board, they'll see just how many horses love their peeps!

Partly Cloudy Hessen Horse asks that all his many admirersvote for RedJake. As many of you know, RedJake was born in a little town in Missouri, where his mother still lives, father deceased there, and Jake moved to Florida where he worked before being adopted by 2Jakes. 2Jakes does rescue for Miami-Dade, so when she goes home from saving those 4 big guys from a lizard that got into their car, the dudes thought the lizard was an anaconda, Jake's job is to go riding all over Florida.
Go look at his pix, over the interstate, at the beach, telling his stablemate to respect his peeps, and all. Jake also has an aussie, BlueJake, who was a rescue, and he has lots of ssssssssssssssssssnakes.
RedJake will not spend his money on peeps for himself, instead he will give all his votes to his rescue. Jake even sent the shirt off his butt (see pix) to DGRH along with some peeps for Ted, his competitor here.
Vote for RedJake, at the Christmas rescue contest he allowed a lonely portly pinto pony to join his group to raise money for charities, since a lot of warmbloods didn't read that thread.
Vote for Jake, he's a great guy.
See is pix on the website link.

Thumbs up RedJake for Heartland Rescue!

Thanks Cloudy for the wonderful endorsement, RedJake is humbled and honored to be part of this fundraising effort...in his bio are a few pics of Jake and his life...here are some that Cloudy mentioned...

Jake's peep shirt: http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...s/IMGP0252.jpg
Jake on the I-75 landbridge: http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...eLbridge-1.jpg
Jake telling his buddy to "respect!": http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...s/IMGP0267.jpg
BlueJake and the pup he babysits: http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...s/IMGP0044.jpg

Please vote for Jake! He knows how lucky he is to have a loving home and plenty to eat and he wants all less lucky horses to have a second chance. Heartland provides this chance to rescue horses in Central FL, a place where we love to visit and ride.

Jake has been my loyal and loving horse for going on five years now. He is the sweetest horse I have ever met and he always tries his best at anything I ask of him. We now ask for your support for Heartland Horse Rescue, it's tax deductible and it's only $5 a vote. Skip that Starbuck's Latte today and help a horse in need!

RedJake and I say "Thanks in advance!" and be sure and check out the website on post 1 of this thread! EVERY "CHIP IN" MAKES A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE!!

Jake's "respect my peeps" look is the funniest thing.

Doesn't anyone else want to put up your own horse and have your friends vote so the rescues can have hay and vet treatments?
If you don't want to put up your own horse, then please vote for Jake, he even sent ssssssssssnake skins to DGRH when he sent her the peep tee shirt you will see in the above post.

Help, I'm so helpless with technology stuff! I filled out the form and finally got a picture of Taj small enough to be accepted but it never asked me for the 10$ fee or what rescue I wanted? Am I doing something wrong? Taj really wants to send something for Radar!

Hey great! You are nominating your horse! The more the merrier.
Isn't Jake cute? He sent DGRH the shirt off his butt, and 2Jakes' SSSSnakes sent DGRH the ssssskins off their backs. Jake gets around, he goes all over Florida riding on the beach and over the interstate near Ocala and trying to destress his owner who has a stressful job rescuing 4 big men from a lizard.

Dumplin' needs votes!

I sent out a mass email this morning to solicit everyone I know with a horse so they will enter.

And if Dumplin' wins he is going to donate his prize package to Sunkissed Acres of course!

bump
Nominate or vote, we don't care which, as long as the rescues get some money to pay to save lives. $5 bucks saves lives.

Hey certified girl, where's Taj???????

Sorry - this is an internet issue up in equineartwork's area (Finger Lakes) - they have been having major disruptions in service - which is why some pages have not been completely loaded. We assumed (wrongly!) it would be resolved shortly, and went ahead with the contest, but we are extending the dates to ensure that everyone gets solid voting time!
