Angry German ex-toprider caught (again) on hidden camera (*warning* horse abuse)

A former German toprider was caught (again) on hidden camera while beating
her horse over 500 times with the steel end of the whip, this beating went on for over half an hour.

At the end you can see that a girl from Animal Welfare toke this horse to a clinic.

This rider was already convicted for the same thing almost a year ago. (REMEMBER)

In the meantime the rider moved to Danmark.

What is it in these animals hearts that keeps them from turning on something like that? I seriously doubt anyone would think less of that horse had he just spun and trampled her. He was so shut down, finally not reacting at all since it was obvious no reaction was correct. How very, very tragic.

I wonder how she would like it if someone tied her head between her legs and beat her....Gee I understand why she is an ex-top rider.

It is very disturbing. That is someone who hates horses, hates her job, and probably her life.

Default sickening...

That just makes me sick. What was the horse supposed to be doing? Why was he continuously whipped? And yes, with his head tied between his legs, to his chest.

Poor creature had no "open door". All good training provides what I like to think of as a "good deal" We simply have to show the horse where that "happy place" is. If you just tie down your horse and lunge it in a 10 meter circle while whipping the crap out if it, there is no place for it to go

And how did it get those bloody wounds on the front of its hind fetlocks??? Ill-fitting boots? I couldn't understand German, as they were talking about it.

Cool

One would hope that there are enough idntifying characteristics to alert anyone thinking of employing her.

Thank goodness she's a "former" top rider and has since "disappeared".

I would give a part of my anatomy to have a horse that nice, but all she can do with the poor pony is beat the stuffling out of it? How grievous was the sin the horse commited to be subjected to that? Awful.

What a piece of crap. How could you do that and think it is ok? Unreal.

That poor horse. It is amazing that he didn't try to kick her. I would have

I actually found this...the details are just too depressing to reiterate. She did get punished, but in my opinion, not enough.

Probably bruised her ego by bucking her off or something like that

Default Corrections

I am almost sure that this is the same rider who was convicted about a year ago. And since she was not allowed to come close to a horse for a period of two years, she moved to Denmark. And I also believe that this was filmed in Denmark.

So it must have been the Danisch Animal Welfare who caught her now !

The last part of the film (outdoor arena and horse) looks the same as the one involved about a year ago

Google for Christine W.

You know, this speaks to so much of horse nature, and mankind's whole history with the horse...their whole evolution, and ours. We're the predator, they're the prey. And they really do understand that they're stronger than us. They're not stupid. They're just not wired like another predator. You could not whip a cat or dog like that, if they were that giant size (or even if they weren't.) The horse is resisting, he's just not directing toward his tormentor. There is a famous story about Friedrich Nietzsche, that the point when he snapped (mentally) and had to be taken off to an asylum was when he witnessed a cart horse being beaten to death in the street. I think the actual truth is, it didn't all happen right then, but over a period of days he became more and more obsessed with the idea that the horse, by refusing to defend itself with its superior strength, had the moral high ground over all humanity (in that move the horse prefigured Gandhi's own non-violent revolution!), which humanity (perforce including Nietzsche's own) then became repugnant to him, and presto, nervous breakdown. My point is, if this incident bugs the sh!t out of you, you're in really good company.

Whatever it is, humans have specifically bred it in there, so domestic animals will be obedient to the screaming hitting unpredictable creatures that rule their lives. They have no choice.

Wels, her last name is Wels. There is some fidgeting about on BB's about posting her name. Screw that. This wench does not deserve any more protection than her horse got.

Sadly, that wasn't terribly unfamiliar to me. I know someone who longes horses with sidereins adjusted to put the horse's head in that position... and then wonders why the horse will run backwards . At least that person doesn't beat the horse as much as the person in the video.

I'd love to know what is accomplished by posting this type of video. Is it just for people with a morbid fascination with others beating horses, or just rubber necker syndrome? Either way it's pretty distasteful.
( There is absolutely NO JUSTIFICATION for saying it prevents abuse in any way)
