Owned Encompass (grey gelding) back in 'early 90's - He was trained to 3rd level dressage, then left to starve. I bought him and got him back in shape, then sold him as I'm a trail rider at heart. Last I heard he was in GA, though I doubt he's still alive as he'd be 31...
A good friend still has Almost Broke 24 years after she got him off the track. He's still not quite broke and full of vim and vinegar
Chatsworth House (1998 mare, Press Card x Waltz withme Janet by Dancing Count)
Helped out with the vet work on these guys when I worked for a track vet (saw a ton, but these were a few of my favorites ) -

How is Snowman doing these days? And how is your sister doing - did she get a horse of her own yet? I would love to see pics of Snowman - Jpizzurro@comcast.net.
"Snowman" is doing well. After his stall rest from having a bone chip removed from his knee early this year, he developed a problem with a "loose" stifle. After estrone therapy and an internal blister, he is doing well. I am enjoying the "do hill work" part of the therapy, which means we trail ride a lot. Snowman likes it too, and I am thinking about trying fox hunting next season with him. Hilltopping, of course! I really do enjoy Snowman, except for when he comes in covered in mud, and that's even with a turnout blanket!
I am the worst about taking pictures, which is to say, I never take pictures. I'll try to get some over Christmas break, maybe I'll even bathe him beforehand! Don't worry, we have a heated wash stall
My sister owns Native Star, who is a spry coming 22 year old, though I know she looks at the CANTER site from time to time. I think it is porn for equestrians! Even though you have one (or more!) at home, you still want to look and see what you *could* have!
I hope you are doing well and best wishes for a Merry Christmas!
Adding one (just bought him, but have been leasing him since summer of 2008). He has many friends over on the Eventing forum, but I'd love to know whether anyone who was involved with racing at Great Lakes Downs ever met him.
