I've had the priviledge of riding Liscalgot, the horse that won the individual final at WEG 2002. That was my Christmas present from my trainer

My friend and I helped the Shaeffers clean out their trailer after Vermont a couple years ago, and I picked out Halcyon Hawthorne's feet! Also a couple of other ponies that were not as well known then, but are champions now.

I remember seeing him somewhere, maybe in COTH, a few years ago... I loved him!

Lordhelpus was one of the owners of an Olympic gold medalist, Touch of Class, but we don't see her on here so much anymore. Maybe she'll visit with some stories?

C.Boylen's family still owns the gold standard of Hunters-Rox Dene.

There are many others too. Past and present.

I've ridden Brown Sugar, who won the USET finals in 99.

My trainer imported Overdressed from Holland.

And not really famous, but successful: Oxford (6th in USET East finals in '04) was my equitation horse. I imported him from Belgium.

Holiday (Whitney Week's old eq horse) and The Winning Edge were both imported, owned, and shown by the same girl in my barn.

haha okay that's all i can think of.

I watched Junior Mint grow up...he's not quite famous, but he's been pretty successful in his little life.

Absolut (TB Stallion) is stood at the barn where I used to ride/show. Also rode some ponies that were big in the 90s/80s like Rain or Shine, Tickled Pink and Smart Cookie.

I handled Oscar II for Hokan Thorn back when he was in NC (and other Grand Prix dressage horses like Bas, Wellington and Donerhall-sp?).

Nothing as big time as CBoylen and some other COTHers (I had no idea LordHelpus owned Touch of Class, she was BEAUTIFUL!).

Awww! Such a cool horse! I got to pet him during a visit to the USET when he was there. Can't remember if he was coming or going from/to an event but it was some time around the 1987 Pan Ams.

When did you own him? We need stories!

Ok, if we're counting petting, I got to touch Custom Made when he retired at Rolex 2 or 3 years ago!

I don't have the privilege of owning him, but Suncatcher is in our barn. He's got such personality; he knows he's special.

I like logical people---they provide a nice contrast to the real world.

    Cool

my family used to own Pony Dot Com (he is owned by Katherine Newman now), he was Benlea Playboy when we had him, but he was a cool little thing. He retired a championship trophy in the small pony division at Devon a few years ago. He was a little bugger, but he had so much personality!

The Harrison's stabled a few of their horses at our barn for a week during a layover, and I got to pet Reggae ... it's truly amazing the condition that the top grand prix horses are in!
