8 square feet. I was pretty amazed by that when I learned it. It works out to be a "weight distribution of about 4 ounces per square inch of attachment." _The Principles of Horeseshoeing II_, Dr. Doug Butler.

    What's a free martin?

Okay I just read up on this... lets see if I actually understood.

A freemartin is when two foals are born, one male, one female. However due to the amount of hormones produced due to the colt, the female develops hermaphroditic qualities and is sterile. It's more common in cattle than in horses.

    Do I get a cookie??

    Okay...

I apologize for asking a question that was already asked ... when I skimmed through the thread I didn't see it.

Let me try again: 80% of all modern thoroughbreds can trace their ancestry to this famous horse - who's skeleton can be seen today in a British museum. Who is this horse, and as a bonus, what was his race record?

~The CcrCcr gene, on top of ee (red horse) makes cremello, whereas CcrCcr on top of EE or Ee plus some dominant form of A makes perlino.

    My question:
    Who was the Chocolate Soldier?
