She's one who wears her spurs pointing up, not parallel to the ground.
I personally think that those spurs are straight, and have no 'crook' to aim up or down. She just has them resting fairly high, at her ankle, instead of on her spur rest. Not sure that I would count that as aiming them 'up' as they would be if they had a crook on them.
Clearly not a spur mark. How sad that she has to have that DQ stand.
I agree. Looking at the photos there is no way that she could have caused a mark that low on the mare's side with her spur. It has to be terribly frustrating for her, not only that she didn't get to finish the competition, but now she has a DQ on record for "abuse of horse" about which she is unable to do anything.
