Default 9yo TB/shire gelding Arkansas - needs home by September

Bay gelding, 9 years old, 7/8th TB, 1/8 Shire breeding. Has had 120 days of training where we thought he was doing great. Moved him up to a dressage trainer that was asking him to do a lot more and he started having problems with his left lead. A vet check revealed that he has changes in his right hock that require injections. After injections last week, he has improved 70%. It is unknown whether it will take time and moving correctly to get to 100% or if that's as good as it gets for now. In the arena he is pretty easy to ride although it takes a good rider to make him look good and get him balanced. Out of the arena on trail rides I would say he needs an experienced rider because he can be hot when in new situations. Video below.

I am hoping to find a new home for him by September, which is when I will likely be scheduled to ship out for basic training.

Bumping. I will add that the video posted was done before he had the hock injection.

How has he come along since the injection? Any new pics or videos?

His first 30 days of training was with a cowboy and he took him on trails and said he did well. I would not consider him trained on trails and would expect to need an experienced rider to get him started.

He is not currently being ridden, but the symptoms associated with the hock have all dissipated.

It's best to email me if you want more info.

He sounds like a nice guy. Can you post any photos?
