I have some dried herbs and spices (the tinned McCormick type) and would like to use some of them to hang in my closets. I know how to combine them in water to simmer on the stove to freshen the air, but not how to combine them to hang in a closet.
I have rosemary, thyme, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg. And catnip.

Cinnamon, cloves and orange peel are among my favorite pot pourri ingredients.
Is the cinnamon in chips or powder?
If powder, stick the cloves into a thin skinned orange (not navel) and roll around in the cinnamon. Dry in a warm dry spot. If chips combine the items in a bowl or cloth bag. you can add a fragrance oil if you wish.
I used to buy from http://www.sfherb.com/ and I was disappointed that they no longer have recipies on their website.
For the orange peel you want the outer orange part, not the whole peel, especially if it is an orange with a thick skin like a navel
