    Default Face Book

OK, so I have trouble with the Face Book lay out, which makes me feel really stupid, since children do it before they can even walk !!!!!!
So.......WHERE on someone's page is the blessed FRIEND REQUEST ??????
    Grrrr.....!!!!!!

If you click on the persons name to go to their page, you will see +1 add friend, top right in the banner (or long narrow photo bit.)

there are other ways but that's the easiest I think.

It appears my problem has to do with that I am looking at Face Book pages from my business page. From my personal page there is the +1 Friend button, but from my business page there is not.
So..... does that mean business pages cannot have friends ? And, therefore cannot post on other Face Book pages ?
    How frustrating !

Yup, I'm pretty sure that you personally can add friends, but the business page can just get likes. Unless you have the business page set up like its a person, if that makes sense. I'm assuming that its not that way, and that is why you can't add friends for the business.

I think you may be able to invite people to like your page- that's the closest option to a friend request.

You need to have a personal Facebook page in order to have "Friends."
Visit Sonesta Farms website at www.sonestafarms.com or our FaceBook page at www.facebook.com/sonestafarms. Also showing & breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

A business page cannot have friends and post on their pages. It can send and carry on private message conversations with individuals.

Also, some people have turned off their "Add as friend" option. It's super annoying when they do that.

Business Pages can "like" and follow other Pages, but cannot "friend" individuals. Kind of makes sense, as theoretically you can "friend" them from your personal account.

To keep this horse-related... what are some of your favorite horse social media accounts? I follow COTH, of course, and Bay Area Equestrian Network and a few other assorted accounts but would like to know if there are any good ones I'm missing!

How?! How do you do that? I had thought that was an option but when I've tried to do it I CANNOT find how to do it.

I find that a ducks opinion of me is very much influenced over whether or not I have bread. Ducks love bread but they do not have the capability to buy a loaf. Thats the biggest joke on the duck ever.

That doesn't turn off the function, just gives the option of everyone or friends of friends.

    Thanks everybody.
Any idea how to message a FB group to ask to join, from my business page ?
It seems like the message option disappears when I access from the business page.
    Thanks again !

P.S. This is horse related, the "business" is horse breeding !
