Its just one more ridiculous "Critique" of riders far above his ability, he seems to enjoy trying to make other very good and successful riders look like they are riding incorrectly. Naming all sorts of names in the process and looking like a total ass.

Those who can do, those who are blind and ignorant rant about those who actually work? Its a great technique used well in middle schools around the world, most people see through it pretty quickly but seriously it is offensive.

I want to comment about his 'buying your way to the top' on his Facebook, but I promised myself I would stop engaging.... What a presumptuous d*ck move...

It takes A LOT of nerve for someone to steal a photo and crop the copyright info out of it. Blume should be notified if that hasn't been done already.

ETA: The photo owner can easily report this as stolen using the little drop down arrow in the top right corner.

And the picture he has on his site is a cropped and enlarged version of a pic on Blume's site, about 3/4 down the page. I haven't found the contact info yet for the photographer.

That proves he can't read and comprehend (as well as spell)! He stole a copyrighted photo??

Can anyone take screenshot before he smartens up and removes it? I don't want to because I can't figure out how to do it without it showing my friends on the side.

I reported it to Facebook, but only Blume can report the actual intellectual property infringement.

I reported it as well. Considered commenting but I don't really want my name on his psycho radar.

What a pompous charlatan. That rider is not holding onto the reins for balance like a rank beginner, she is asking the horse to step very deep, and to travel uphill - and has accomplished that. Wonder why he cropped out the legs of the horse that show that deep step? Which would make it clear that her heel is up because she is using her leg to get that deep step under.

This from a man who's legs swing and bottom bounces ("ass-slapping" has always been frowned upon by my coaches) when cantering. Honestly, that earlier video of "good" riding was not any better than what you can expect to see in the dressage ring at an Event! Most training level riders can sit the canter better - with a still leg.

Are we supposed to believe Nick is a better rider? What part about his position is more effective? The pinching knee? The seat flying out of the saddle? Tipping forward with the upper body, The hands in the lap? The leg that has swung back? The heel that is up, with a toe pointing down, Or should we just focus on how the horse is going? Behind the vertical, and not stepping under well?

Here - if Nick wants to critique photos, compare that to the photo he stole, which is "more correct"?

    But its all politics... Riiiiight....

{edited to add} if the above picture does not show someone that would benefit from some lunge lessons - I don't know what does. I am really curious to see his sitting trot. The canter is not an example of someone that does not "bounce". And like Denny Emerson says "Good riders DON'T bounce!"

Not surprisingly I too have been blocked as well.

It is almost worth leaving the picture up just to further illustrate his ignorance. He is a fool and I think that cannot be forgotten. Interestingly I have 6 friends in common with him and while I know none of them would support this stupidity I don't know if it would be worth alerting some BNT, though I would not want to be tied professionally in any way with him including liking his FB page.

Two comments up that haven't been deleted yet:

This rider has never claimed to be world-class...in fact, she freely admits that she's an AA who continually seeks to be educated. There is no shame in that. We should all seek to continually improve our positions.
Hardly a chair seat. Are the heels raised? Yes. Is there a line from shoulders to hips to heels (even raised?) Yes. Also, consider the point in the horse's stride. In a chair seat, the entire leg is well in front of the seat...in this photo, the rider's heels have come up, but is NOT a chair seat.

I've thought the same thing. I have 8 friends in common, and most are BNTs that probably accept every friend request sent to them. I'm not going to get further involved on Facebook, as my account is under my real name and tied to my business on there. Not worth the risk.
