    Question Moderators-a question

How long are you letting us have Off Topic? This has been since Turkey day and we are almost to Christmas now.

Mind you I'm not complaining but I keep expecting to see it shut down.

Now it would be great if OT were permanent.

    Hush

enjoy it while it lasts, but permanent isn't really necessary!

I think that part of the fun is that we don't know, don't you think?

It seems like they have been leaving it open until a thread or two goes off the deep end and a few posters get extreme. It MIGHT stay open as long as everybody stays reasonably well behaved.

    SHHHHH!!!!!!!

It's like when your parents forget to tell you to go to bed.

If we behave ourselves, they'll forget about us!!!

I'm considering it an early Christmas gift, myself -- and if we behave, they'll leave it open through New Year's (or at least until we know FLeventer is safe)

At this point, seems like they might as well keep it open until New Year's.

It's nice to have at least some idea of when it'll close so you know if it's worth starting a thread. I always think of something I want to post about, but not until I suspect OTD is about to close, so then I don't bother posting.

Wow! Do you really think this crew can 'stay reasonably well behaved'? That would be super!

So far so good, even with a couple touchy subjects on the front page....

I would love it to stay open until we hear from Fleventer! I have never really wondered up here before and I'm so glued and invested in her thread I literally can't sleep until I check it every night.

I must say, generally, no. But from what I've seen, we're doing pretty decently right now even with some very controversial topics.

I'm sure that will end soon enough.

    Instead, shhhh, don't say anything!

We can hope, at least until the cabin fever, for those of us with too much snow, kicks in.

We've had one thread *poofed* and another just closed, that I'm aware of this go around.
I'm surprised OT is still open.

Christa P, I think by the time this weekend is over, we will be experiencing cabin fever. LOL I don't know how you're doing with snow on the ground but I've probably got about 6". At least it's all light and powdery but it still needs to be shoveled or brushed off.

I got 6" in the hour I was out after trying to get to work this morning. Currently have over 2 feet on the ground with more predicted. The "fun" of living in a major snowbelt.

I know they've tossed around the idea of a permanent OT forum in the past. Wonder if this is a test run?
