I'm sure Laurie! It's bittersweet....I know it is hard to see them go. A and I were texting tonight. I told her I'll send her pics tomorrow to let her know he has made it here safe and sound. I'll keep you guys posted on how he settles in!

His new blankets arrived a few days ago, so he'll be all set for the snow/cold we've had this past week. And my daughter and I were out buying treats for him this afternoon. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.

Aww that mare is such a gem! I think she will always be my daughter's favorite. <3 She is spending her retirement with a friend of mine but very nearby, so thankfully we get to see her quite regularly. Her and my daughter have a very special sort of bond.

Well horse's arrival has been pushed back from 6pm to 4am... I'm SO not a morning person... only a horse could drag me out of bed that early!

LOL did I get rid of "another" horse?

I retired my TB mare last year after an unsuccessful suspensory rehab. She lives about 20 minutes away from me with a vet tech friend.

I think it's against the rules to post a thread like this without pictures.

Laurierace connected us.... gotta love the power of COTH. His seller sent me a bunch but this is the only one I will share for now, since it was on his original ad and I don't want to pass along her personal pics.

I will post more tonight (this morning?!) once he arrives.

Wow, Flash, he looks fantastic. I most certainly will expect to see you all the GVRDC events and Derbies as well as GVH and Stuart HT next year.

I'm anxious to see more pics and to finally get to meet you next yr when you bring him to the competitions here in the Rochester area.

Yes, he got in late last night from another job and didn't want to head back out on the road right away. So, he's picking him up tonight and I should have him at 3-4am in the morning. Trying to decide if I should bother going to bed!
