I have a lovely Stubben Tristan for our youngsters and then move to the Stubben Genesis D Special when they are @ five years old. I also have a couple of Stubben jumping saddles with upswept panels, A Porthos and a Zaria.

BTW, I know of an 18 inch Verhan Oddessy that was made for a short backed horse. Came with the horse, did not fit the rider.

We also got a Hastilow Concept with upswept panels for our short backed arab mare. She loves it.

Where do you find these? I'm not familiar with this brand...

Start with Annette at Hastilow USA

Hastilow also offers the Lease a Bit progarm
Select any bit, in any size and try it for 30 days. If the bit you’ve selected does not work for you, simply return it within the 30days for a 90% refund of the price of the bit
A local tack shop offers some HS bits on a trial program BUT it's $20 for a week; a month is a much more effective trial period.

My short backed oddly tweaked model goes best in a Reactor Panel saddle, might want to check them out if you're still looking for a solution. It's a very different panel system, horses either love it or hate it in my experience. With the ultra compact GP horse I ride, it accommodates his double twist and keeps him very happy.
